The story behind Rectia
It took about 16 years before I became aware that having a high position within a company does not make me happier.

Together with my family I arrived as a young immigrant on the beautiful island of Curaçao. My family strove for better living conditions. Despite the fact that we have faced financial challenges, we have continued to work hard. We never gave up. Targeted investment in education and training was our goal to become successful in life. My family taught me that a diploma increases the chances on the labor market.

In the year 2000 I left for Europe to continue my studies. It was a guess and I chose to have a pursue a career in the information technology industry. Although I was determined to study, I felt homesick on a daily basis and had to deal with a culture that was unfamiliar to me. It was not an easy period, but my will to succeed got me through it.

In the 15 years that I have worked in the information technology industry, I have built up a good reputation. I had a great career, a brand new car, a nice house, enough money in my bank account and my family was very proud of me.
My gamble paid off. My career was on the rise, but I was not happy.

Most business owners focus primarily on making a profit rather than the well-being of the employees. They see it all wrong: employees are the most important capital of an organization. Investing in their well-being means profit in the long run. Many business owners don't rely enough on employees to perform their duties properly. As a result, the employees feel stressed and anxious and are therefore unable to do their job optimally.

Salary alone is not enough to keep employees motivated. People need to feel inspired and valued. We want to work in an environment where all colleagues and managers interact in a pleasant atmosphere, respect each other and support each other. There must also be opportunities for growth and future prospects.

With this vision I decided to set up my company RECTIA. RECTIA is a company where we invest in an inspiring corporate culture to get the best out of all employees.

The purpose of RECTIA: We ensure that organizations exceed the digital expectations of their customers. We do this by first defining their processes through Quality Assurance and secondly by improving their digital products through Quality Control.

My advice to you is: Choose to work for an organization that will allow you to improve your skills and grow as a professional. A company's culture is more important than just an important job title. When an organization suits you perfectly, you are able to do your job well. You are motivated and you feel at home. A good company culture is the foundation for a quality work life.
on your future,
